About

Who am I anyway?

It started with pure fascination. Grew into deep passion and a continuous quest to digest any and all information. Since my childhood, computer games have had a central role in my life, although it has changed from sleepless nights of LAN parties to a constant hunger for learning and practicing game development.

Although my initial interest was focused on the actual development of games, leading to knowledge and experience within areas such as game design, programming, 2D graphics and usability testing, my focus has now turned to project management and strategic innovation. Most recently, I have written a Master’s Thesis on how to integrate continuous, purposeful innovation into a systematic, strategic methodology.

Although game development stands as focal point of my career, digital games as a cultural phenomenon is an important area of interest. For several years, I have written as a freelance journalist for gaming websites such as Gamereactor.dk and Hyped.nu. And recently I co-founded The Danish Game Council, where I currently sit as a Member of the Board.

My curiosity is near infinite, taking me from various topics as computer technology and gadgets to theme park development, politics, philosophy and much more. In everything I experience, I immediately try to interlink and seek patterns, which again fuels my interest in new discoveries and challenging whatever orthodoxies might prevail. In overall terms, I try to unite a continuous aim to renew and innovate, while understanding key principles of exploiting existing assets and selling the message to approach a proper audience.

Nonetheless, it is my friends, family and social encounters that defines who I am. We people are unbelievably complex and fascinating, and I find great inspiration and joy in meeting new people. They shape my perspectives on the world and gives it all meaning. Have I not met you yet, I hope our paths will soon cross!

Cheers,
Jesper
